This series of photos was taken nearing the completion RMIT’s new Design Hub.
The $62 million dollar, 12,000m2 facility is designed by architect Sean Godsell (in association with Peddle Thorp). The façade incorporates 16,000 sand blasted discs that form a second skin to the building. The discs (or cells) rotate during the day and create a constantly shifting façade. This movement allows for the control of ventilation and tracking of the sun for future solar technologies. (Source: RMIT website)
